Misty's Musicians mainly perform Jazz Standards but also Soul/Funk music and
Rock 'n Roll Classics as a flexible 2-6 piece band and are available for any Event.
We can do it all!
From background Jazz with or without Vocal or just a Piano and a Singer
to a Funky six-piece band featuring Soul and Rock 'n Roll classics

France
|
Graduated from West Kent College, France's sultry voice and warm tone can go from sophisticated and soft to very powerful and expressive. She has been inspired by Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Holliday although her tone could be in the same vein as Norah Jones and Diana Krall with a bit of a 'french twist'. She is experienced in both function and session work and have played at the Tonbridge Castle Festival in 2007, at the Hammersmith Palais and locally at the Royal Victoria Hall, the Salomon's center, the Grey Lady Music loundge and various other restaurants in Tunbridge Wells. |
Oliver
|
Oliver is an experienced Jazz pianist, but also a great performer for anything from Funk to Soul. He plays regularly in various function bands and original bands. He's influences are mainly Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. He is equipped with a Yamaha Stage Piano sampled on Yamaha's prestigious C7 Concert Grand. |
Andy

Andy joined the team a year ago, His experience covers all the different aspects of the music industry such as work in function bands, original bands, TV productions (David Jason production - “The Final Quest” 2005 and Nick Moran Production - “Telstar” 2007), festivals and library music albums (“Rock” on Boosey Media and “Hard Rock Extreme Metal” on Cavendish Music) He also recorded and played with Simon Philips (Toto, Jeff Beck, The Who) in Los Angeles, Ray Russell (Tina Turner, Paul McCartney), Geno Washington and Mo Foster. Over the last year, He plays regularly for the Comedian Matt Berry (the Mighty Boosh, Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place, The IT Crowd…) and will record Matt's first album during 2008. |
Ellen

Ellen studied for her degree at Drum Tech in London and is involved with many function bands and original bands. She played venues like the Jazz and Blues café in Maidstone, The Grey Lady in Tunbridge Wells and the Wallpole in London. She particularly likes playing with brushes on soft Jazz and vibrant swings as well as hitting the snare hard to get you dancing! |
Luke
|
Luke studied music for 4 years, he's influences are Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Adam Nitti, Jean Baudin and John Myung. He plays in various original bands and also performed at local venues like the Royal Victoria Hall and Salomon's Centre. |
Laurent |
Laurent went to Africa in 2000 to learn the secrets of percussions. He has recently joined Misty to give the rhythm section an extra punch. Perfect for the Latin Jazz and Soul Set. |
