Terms and Conditions
So you have made up your mind! You have listened to Misty and viewed the website.
So what happens next?
Just give us a call or email us and we can start to plan your event.
Misty prides itself on its professional approach and treats every event, whatever the size,
with the most care and importance. We would therefore also suggest that you read the
following which outlines our specifications as well as other requirements and information
that you need to be aware of to ensure the safe and smooth running of the event.
Please feel free to print out this page and show it to your coordinator/venue
banqueting manager who may be able to answer some of your questions.
Sound:
Misty is equiped with a professionnal PA
and all the equipment is fully PAT tested and insured.
Power/Electricity:
The venue needs to supply an adequate safety earth mains supply with at least 2 sockets
with enough extension leads if the stage is more than 5 m away from any power supply.
(please let us know in advance if this is the case)
It should be available from the time the band is on site. Any delay can cause the late start
of the show. Please also note that dishwasher and bar equipment can cause a drop
if on the same supply as the band. This can cause disruption to your evening and
certain band equipment such as processor, will not operate.
If the above cannot be supplied an external generator will be required.
Food:
Our musicians may have travelled long distances to reach you, so they'll require a hot meal
when they arrive at the venue and soft drinks to keep up their energy levels.
It should be available from the time the band is on site.
Please note there is 1 vegetarian in the band.
Soft drinks should be made available throughout the night at no charge.
Changing Facilities:
facilities and a mirror. The band need at least an hour to be set up and changed,
ready to perform. It will be much appreciated if suitable parking and a safe,
clear access made available to the function room prior to the band's arrival.
Any flights of stairs or lifts should be made aware to the band before the day.
Most heavy flight cases will however need the use of a lift.
This ensures that the equipment is both loaded into the venue
and out from the venue in a speedy, safe manner.
Detectors:
If possible please arrange for any smoke detectors or sound limiters to be isolated
in the area of the stage. Please also note that volume sensors are undesirable as they
cause damage to the equipment.
The Stage:
Probably less than you think, approximately 5m x 4m for the full 6-piece band.
We are adept at fitting into unusual spaces!
A stage isn’t necessary (although it’s a bonus if you do have one)
We can also play outside, but will need to be under cover.
in case of rain as our equipment is easily damaged.
Speeches:
subject to being confirmed before the day of show. However use of any other band equipment
(ie: lighting and PA) is not available for use by other artists
except by prior arrangement with Misty and an extra charge will be made for this use.
Late Running Times:
which results in the band having to play outside the agreed contract times,
this will be discussed with the event organiser at the time and a view will be taken
In this instance, an additional fee may be charged depending
on how much extra time outside of the agreed contract period is required.
Bookings:
No two events are ever the same which is why Misty take the time to
specifically tailor make quotes to suit the requirements of
the client, location and venue - contact us for further details.
We will send you a booking letter with all the details discussed
and a 25% non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of booking.
The balance is due the day of the engagement, payable directly to the band.
Cancellations:
Contracts are issued on the basis that it should not be cancelled.
The deposit is non-refundable .
Once the balance has been paid,
there is no reimbursement possible.
