Funky Junky 1What is ZauberZone?   In partnership with Redditch Borough Council, I launched ZauberZone in 2008 to give families the opportunity to learn and grow together through fun, exciting and educational music workshops and performances.

Past events
Piers Adams and Howard Beach   In January 2008 ZauberZone was launched with an incredible display of virtuosity and showmanship by world-renowned recorder player Piers Adams and outstanding harpsichordist Howard Beach.
Caliche   The South American group, Caliche, fascinated their audience when they brought an enormous array of musical instruments with them. As well as playing wonderful South American music, they were able to imitate the sounds of the rainforest (with the help of the audience!)
Funky Junky   Children and families arrived at the Palace Theatre to take part in a day-long musical instrument making extravaganza, using nothing but junk! By the end of the workshop, children had produced musical instruments, composed their own piece of music, written their piece down, and performed in groups using their new musical inventions.
The Urban Folk Quartet   In a collaboration with Worcestershire Youth Music, ZauberZone invited young musicians to take part in a workshop with this exciting and unique, folk fusion band. They worked together to produce an outstanding piece of new music using improvisatory techniques. The Urban Folk Quartet were back in the evening to perform to an elated audience.
